Cefalu, Maria Illuminata (nee Curcio), 79, of Lyndhurst died on Friday June 13, 2008. Mrs. Cefalu was born in Palermo, Italy, moved to Brooklyn, NY in 1950, married her beloved husband, Demetrio Cefalu in 1954 and they lived in Brooklyn for 9 years, then moved to Lyndhurst where they have been residents for the past 44 years. Maria is also survived by her four loving children, Valeria Miller & her husband, William of Freehold, Dimitri Cefalu & his wife, Kathleen of Manasquan, Alex Cefalu & his wife, Faye of Morris Plains and Danila Weathery & her husband, Mark of Silver Springs, MD, by her sister, Vincenza Cordone of Palermo, Italy, and by her dear eleven grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Tuesday June 17, 2008 at 9 AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visiting hours Monday 5-9 PM.
