Ranu, Francis N., 69 of Santee, South Carolina, formerly of Clifton died on Monday August 25, 2008. Mr. Ranu was born and raised in Lyndhurst, lived in Clifton for 25 years, before moving to West Paterson, and then Santee, South Carolina where he has lived since 1996. He was in the Army and the Army National Guard. He attended Rutgers University, College of Pharmacy, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a Registered Pharmacist in the state of New Jersey and South Carolina. More recently, he worked as the Associate Director of the Tablet Department at Sandoz Pharmaceuticals (currently Novartis). While in South Carolina, Mr. Ranu became a licensed Realtor. He was an avid golfer, a member of Santee Cooper Resort Boat & Swim Club where during his golf career, had two hole-in-ones and was 2000 Club Champion. Mr. Ranu was also a member of Coastal Seniors Golf League, Men�s Golf Association and the Traveler�s Golf League. He was a Eucharistic Minister, and taught computer lessons in the Literacy Center in Santee. He is survived by his beloved wife, Frances (nee Mariano) of Santee, S.C., His loving children, Michele Bottcher & her husband Ron of Wanaque, and Francis Ranu & his wife Lisa of Clifton and his granddaughter, Isabella Ranu. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road on Friday August 29, 2008 at 9AM. Then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10AM a Funeral Mass will be held. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visiting Thursday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
