Obituary of Charlotte Wehrle

Wehrle, Charlotte (nee Monaco) 88, died Sunday March 8, 2009. Mrs. Wehrle was born and raised in Lyndhurst, and lived in Hackensack for 41 years. In 1991, she moved to Toms River where she had lived for the past 18 years. She was a Homemaker. She served as a Corporal in Squadron �D� of the 3009th Army Airforce base unit (1943-1945) at Carlsbad Army Airfield, Carlsbad, New Mexico. Charlotte was a member of the Stuart Smith Singers and performed at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center. She also sang with The Community Chorus of Felician College. In Toms River, she was a member of the Choir and Chorus of South Wind, Holiday City. She starred in the leading role of �Gypsy� and �Mame� and other broadway shows under the direction of Vincent Tabano at Bergen Catholic Showtime, Oradell. Charlotte is predeceased by her beloved husband the late Leonard J. Wehrle (1990). She is survived by her loving children, Leonard Wehrle of Lakewood, and Patricia Ann Wehrle of South Mantoloking, her three dear granddaughters, Jennifer, Rebecca and Priscilla of Lakewood, and her brother and sister, John Monaco and Phyllis Bogle both of Lyndhurst. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Saturday March 14, 2009 at 9AM. then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment St. Joseph�s Cemetery, Hackensack. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
