Obituary of John A. Mahoney

Mahoney, John A., 79, died on Friday April 1, 2011. Mr. Mahoney was born in Union City, raised in Jersey City, lived in Lyndhurst for 34 years before moving to Melbourne, Florida where has lived the past 15 years. He was a Printer for Kent Typographers, NYC for many years before retiring. Mr. Mahoney was an Army Combat Veteran during the Korean War serving from 1952 to 1954. He was also a member of the VFW Post 3149 of Carlstadt. John is predeceased by his son, Michael in 1967. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cecelia Mahoney (nee Hilpert) by his loving children, John Mahoney, Susan Mahoney, Sharon Scott and her husband, Mark, and Daniel Mahoney and his wife, Carol, by his four dear grandchildren, Christopher, Kelley, Katelyn and by Danny who is �on the way� and by his sister, Maria Kikkert. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Friday April 8, 2011 at 9AM. Then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
