Obituary of Mildred Caputi

Caputi, Mildred (nee De Riso) 93, died on Monday, July 2, 2018.  Mrs. Caputi was born in North Bergen, raised in Hoboken and lived in Weehawken for many years where she and her husband, Lawrence raised their family.  Mildred lived in North Arlington for the past 20 years. She worked as a seamstress, but Mildred was gifted vocally and the young age of 18, she became part of a band and would sing professionally in local nightclubs. Being the last born child of 23 to immigrant parents, her singing career was short lived but her passion for music, singing and dancing, never faded.  Mildred is predeceased by her beloved husband, Lawrence in 1994.  She is survived by her loving daughters, Tia De Louise, Antonia Fulton & her husband, William, Clara Collins & her husband, James and Judi Caputi, by her granddaughters, Amanda Nigro, Kara Collins and Katie Collins, by her sister in law, Mary Caputi and by many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 4- 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Friday, July 6 at 9AM then to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington where at 10AM a funeral Mass will be offered.  Interment to follow, Fairview Cemetery, 500 Fairview Avenue, Fairview, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mildred’s memory to Susan G.. Komen Foundation @ Conquer Cancer Foundation, PO Box 896076, Charlotte NC, 28289-6076.
