Dear Gina,
It was such a privilege to be a part of your mother's life. She was an amazing and strong woman. The world just lost a shining spirit. God bless you and your family

Dear Gina & Charles, Vinnie & Diane and Ralph and Lucille:
We are long time friends of your Mom & Dad, Babe & Vinnie. Tony & Babe knew each other longer than my friendship with her since I lived in the Bronx before we moved back to Lyndhurst at the end of WW II. Your Mom & I were very close in High School and I had lunch practically every day at your Grandmother & Grandfathers house. Your Grandfather used to scare the heck out of me...sometimes you were there Ralph, and you would get a kick out of the witty sarcasm of your Dad...always poking fun at Tony & I since we were Italian. Vinnie & Tony were part of Coach Kania's team. I loved your mother, Frauline Wetzel and I guess it was she who taught me how to humor the male gender of the marriage.
Babe was part of our PJ group who met at Toni Spano's and I always enjoyed seeing you,Gina, as you dropped Mom off.
In April of this year, Tony & I moved from the mountains (Placitas) of NM, to ABQ, the city. I'm still getting used to the city again, after living & traveling to NY so much of my adult life. Tony & I will celebrate our 66th wedding anniv. on Sept. 6th. That's a loooong time to put up with each other...but geeze, our lives have been so full and so blessed with beautiful friends---Vinnie, you and my daughter Barbara played together before you were one, and before we moved to Dallas, TX.
On the day that Doris Hallisey called with the news, I had just opened up another box filled with LHS memories and in it, was a box with a 3 pg. letter your mom had written me, updating us with the news of our 25th HS reunion. I shall send it Gina, with some other mementos if I can find them. We have had a hard time downsizing. So many things----the memories of your Mom & Dad, and the Toron family----we were all so enmeshed, it's hard to separate my thoughts right now.. Your Dad & Mom will be with us forever. We love you all and are with you all in spirit, today. Most sincerely, June & Tony
