Obituary of Robert Franco

Franco, Robert "Rocky," 77, of North Arlington, died on Thursday, November 1, 2018.  Mr. Franco was born and raised in Jersey City and was a resident of North Arlington for 32 years.  Robert worked as a truck driver for Langer Transport and Mecca Trucking, both of Jersey City, retiring in 2004.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Janice A. Franco (nee Lorenz).  Robert is survived by his brothers and sisters, Sam Franco (Hatty), Beverly Izdebski (the late Alexander), Richard Franco (Mary), Joseph Franco (Cathy), and Mary Bing (the late George) and by many nieces and nephews, especially Shannon Bennett and Meeghan Killeen, who Robert was a father figure to.   He is predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Carol Ruark (Barry), and Rose, Michael, and James Franco, and survived by James' wife, Wanda.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 3 - 7 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Monday, November 5 at 9 AM then to Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington where at 10 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York NY 10016 or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 224789, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
