Obituary of Richard J. Marfino

Marfino, Richard J., 97, of Lyndhurst, died on Saturday, December 1, 2018.  Mr. Marfino was born in Moonachie and lived most of his life in Lyndhurst.  Richard proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and worked as the general manager for General Diaper Service for 45 years and has been retired for many years.  He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Caroline Marfino (nee Adamo) in 2014 and survived by their loving children, Carolyn L. Cedola and her husband, Pasquale, Frank Marfino and his wife, JoAnn, and Richard J. Marfino and his wife, Kathleen, by his dear grandchildren, Ann Mezzina (Frank), Linda Doren (Richard), Caroline Lilore – Sciancalepore (Anthony), Lisa Afflitto (Joseph), Donna Marfino (Philippe Kunz), Richard Marfino (Elena), Janine Barone (Anthony), and Frank Marfino (Stacey), by his cherished great grandchildren, Juliann Sedlock (Dr. Joseph), Stephanie and Frank Mezzina, Richard, Anthony, and Natalie Doren, Joseph Lilore, Sofia, Marina, and Ava Sciancalepore, Devin, Nicole, and Tia Afflitto, Lauren Vasquez-Marfino, and Sofia and Olivia Barone, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071 on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 4 – 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 4 at 10 AM then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 11 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Entombment, Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.
