Obituary of Jane M. Cinardo

Cinardo, Jane M. (nee Marrazzo), 89, of Harrison, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2019.  Jane leaves behind her legacy of a strong, independent woman who was selfless when it came to her family.  She loved entertaining and welcomed all to her table.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be greatly missed.  Jane graduated from Harrison High School, Class of 1947.  Following graduation, she worked for Bell Telephone as an operator and later for Mutual Benefit Life.  In 1952, she married Virgineo (Gino) Cinardo. 

She was a key figure in the inception of St. Anthony’s School, East Newark, and was very active in its fundraising and the planning of festivities.  She was a former member of St. Stephen’s seniors, along with Henrietta Benstead seniors, both of Kearny.  Jane was predeceased by her brother, Marco.  Surviving are her beloved husband of 66 years, Gino, daughter, Donna and her husband, Marino of Clifton, sons, Michael and his wife, Patricia of Old Bridge, John of Denville, Vincent and his wife, Joselia of Lanoka Harbor, brother August and his wife, Patricia of Manchester, ten grandchildren, Lisa, Michele, Michael, Olivia, John, Jr., Marisa, David, Dana, Vincent, and Dylan, seven great grandchildren, Andrew, Jonathan, Ethan, Ava Grace, Nicholas, Lily, and Hannah, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Monday, May 20, 2019 from 4 – 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 21 at 9 AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jane’s memory to St. Jude Shrine, 512 W. Saratoga Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.
