I just heard about Ray's passing just today, and I feel terrible I did not know at the time it happened. I would have paid my respects to him and his family. I became friends with Ray back in 2011, working out together at Club Metro Gym in Rutherford. I tried helping him find work when he was unemployed for a short time as well. We would run into each other ocassionally at Mt. Carmel Church in Lyndhurst as well. He would be there with his mom. He loved his PT Cruiser! Just a great person, warm heart, outgoing and very, very friendly. The world needs more people like him, its just a shame his life was cut too short. Rest in Peace Ray. You are missed dearly.

I was down the shore and when I got back I heard a young guy from King's Court passed. i can't believe it was Ray because he's been there forever. Nicest guy in the world; a pleasure to see him in the mornings. My condolences to his family. he will truly be missed.

I remember growing up in our neighborhood on New York avenue with a group of about a dozen young boys playing all kinds of sports including football where Ray was a die-hard Los Angeles Rams fan. Ray and our group of friends enjoyed many sports together but I also remember him being a fish and aquarium hobbiest with his favorite fish being swordtails.
