Obituary of Georgeann M. Ferrie

Ferrie, Georgeann M. (nee Henckel), 64, of Lyndhurst, died on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at her home.  Georgeann was born and raised in East Orange and was a resident of Lyndhurst since 1971.  Mrs. Ferrie worked as an elementary school teacher for St. Mary's School in Rutherford for 4 years before working as an office manager in their family business, Apex Saw & Tool in Lyndhurst.  She was an avid I Love Lucy fan and enjoyed the outdoors, specifically the Adirondacks, Myrtle Beach, and her LBI shore house.  Georgeann is predeceased by her parents, the late George and Ann (nee English) Henckel and by her sister and brother, Catherine and Daniel Henckel.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, John Ferrie and their loving children, Annemarie Ferrie, Laura Leahy and her husband, Joseph, and John "JJ" Ferrie and his wife, Nicole, by her cherished grandchildren, Nathan, JT, and Dylan, by her dear sisters and brothers, Maryann Hildebrand and her husband, Bill, Thomas Henckel and his wife, Yvonne, Douglas Henckel and his wife, Jory, Patricia Braitsch and her husband, Bud, Barbara Lyman and her husband, Bill, Peter Henckel and his wife, Carla, and JoAnne Henckel, and by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 4 - 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 26 at 9 AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Entombment, Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, Georgeann's family requests donations be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or online at americancancersociety.org/donate or the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, PO Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502 or online at http://npcf.us/donate
