Obituary of William Anthony Ficacci

Ficacci, William Anthony, 73, of Newton, NJ, died on Saturday, November 23, 2019.  Mr. Ficacci was born in Newark and raised in Clifton.  He lived in North Arlington before moving to Ogdensburg and remained a Sussex County resident thereafter.  William was a Clifton Special Police Officer in the 1970s and then began his advertising career in Manhattan before working for Panasonic in Secaucus.  He then started his own business, Quest Advertising.  William's passion was in art, specifically drawing, painting, and photography.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved his dogs.  William is survived by his girlfriend, Louise Minotto, by his children, Vanessa Nuzzolo (Anthony), Bethany Kretzmer (Chris), Audra Norman (André), and William Ficacci (Amie), and by his grandchildren, Desmond, Cooper, Bella, Kyle, Avery, Brooks, Antonia, and Giana.  He is further survived by Louise's daughter, Deeneen Lavine (Joe), by his brothers, Michael and Albert Ficacci, by his former wife, Carmela Hoffman, and by many nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by his parents, Bernard and Evelyn Ficacci and by his brother, Bernard Ficacci.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 4 - 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 27 at 9 AM where a funeral service will begin at 10 AM.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
