Obituary of Richard M. Tarapata

Tarapata, Richard, 53, of Kinnelon, died on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at home surrounded by his family.  Mr. Tarapata was born in Passaic, raised in Irvington and Kearny, and was a resident of Kinnelon for the past 13 years.  He worked as an Executive Director in Business Development and Licensing for Oncology.  Richard married his wife, Iwona on September 30, 1989, a date which signifies the beginning and an end, but also one which celebrates their life together forever.  Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Iwona Tarapata (nee Wycislo), by their loving daughter, Lauren Tarapata, by their son, the late Matthew Henry Tarapata, by his parents, Mary Tarapata (nee Postek) and the late Michael Tarapata, by his sister, Wanda Tarapata and her husband, Michael Schenk, and by his nephews, Steven and Nicholas Schenk.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 9:30 AM - 10:45 AM then to St. Michael's Church, Lyndhurst where at 11 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
