Obituary of Rocchina Cornacchia

Cornacchia, Rocchina (nee D'Emilio), 79,  died on Sunday, December 27, 2020.  Mrs. Cornacchia was born and raised in Deliceto, Foggia, Italy.   She came to the United States in 1957 and settled in Lyndhurst.  She was a seamstress and a member of ILGWU for a few years, but her main job was to take care of the family.  Rocchina is predeceased by her beloved husband, Carmelo Cornacchia, who recently passed away on October 7, 2020.  She is survived by her loving sons, Joseph Cornacchia & his wife, Sandra and Anthony Cornacchia & his wife, Carol and by her cherished granddaughters, Daniella and Nicole.  She will be greatly missed by her brother, Gerardo D'Emilio & his wife, Zorina and her sister,  Iolanda Scola & her husband, Gus, and by many nieces and nephews and by many loving friends.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at  Nazare Memorial Home Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 9:00 AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10:00 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered.  Entombment will be private at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rocchina's memory to the Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad, P.O.
