Obituary of Carmela M. Ferrara

Ferrara, Carmela, “Camile”, 96, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 12, 2021.  Carmela was born and raised in Nutley and lived most of her life in Lyndhurst.  She was a dressmaker for Cobba Dress in Nutley for some 50 years, retiring in 1987.  Carmela is predeceased by her beloved husband, Patrick Ferrara in June of 2007 and by her grandson, Joseph Pavlica, Jr., in 2019.  She is survived by her loving daughters, Patricia Pavlica & her husband, Joseph and Rosemary Paleologos & her husband, Andrew and Susan Cowell and by her cherished grandsons, Nicholas and Justin Paleologos. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home Inc. 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 3 to 7 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 9:30am, then to Sacred Heart Church, where at 10:30am a funeral mass will be offered.  Entombment, Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carmela’s memory to Margaret Engel Endowment Trust for Sacred Heart School, 620 Valley Brook Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071.
