Obituary of Ida Rose Di Mascio
Di Mascio, Ida Rose (nee Pennello), 87, of North Arlington, died on Thursday, October 28, 2021. Mrs. Di Mascio was born to Salvatore and Santa Pennello and raised in Manhattan, NY and moved to Jersey City in 1946 where she lived most of her life and was a homemaker for her family. She briefly worked as a registrar for Union Health Care in New York. In the 1980s, she volunteered for the American Cancer Society. She was an active member of Cornerstone Church in Carlstadt and was a member of the Seniors Harmony Club, North Arlington. Most recently, she was a resident of North Arlington for over 10 years. Ida was predeceased by her beloved husband, Salvatore Di Mascio in 1983 and by her loving siblings, Peter Pennello, Guido Pennello, Silvio Pennello, Josephine Di Mascio, Dino Pennello, and Howard Pennello. She is survived by her loving children, Carol Sahagian and her husband, Joseph, James Di Mascio and his wife, Leila and David Di Mascio, by her grandchildren, Daniel and Andrew Sahagian, by her step grandchildren, Amanda and Brian Costigan and Analissa Gabriele and her husband, Steve, by her great grandchildren, Olivia, Paola, and Patrick Costigan and Jodan and Penelope Gabriele, by her step great grandson Marlon Jean Veiga and his wife, Leticia, by her loving sister-in-laws, Pauline Pennello and Annette Di Mascio and by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Monday, November 1, 2021 from 4 - 8 PM. All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 2 at 9 AM where a funeral service will begin at 10 AM. Interment, Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.
