Obituary of George V. Urgolo

Urgolo, George V., 92, died on Sunday, January 16, 2022.  Mr. Urgolo was born and raised in Jersey City.  He moved to Totowa in 1985 and has been a resident since.  He was an Army Veteran, who served during the Korean War (1951-1953).  George worked for Standard Brands of Hoboken as Quality Controller and then Hoffman La Roche in Nutley for 16 years, before retiring in 1990.  George is predeceased by his son, Vincent Urgolo in 2004 and his beloved wife of 68 years, Theresa G (nee Barrette) Urgolo in 2019.  He is survived by his loving children,  Manina Urgolo-Huckvale & her husband, Sydney, Marie Lynda Drennan-Graves & her husband, Thomas and George Urgolo, daughter- in-law, Toni Urgolo, by his dear grandchildren, Alexander Dunn, Lesley Carroll, Melinda Prather, Nicole Statfield, Thomas Drennan and Irene Urgolo and by eight great-grandchildren.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiation held at Nazare Memorial Home Inc. 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 11:30AM - 12:45PM.  Then to Sacred Heart Church, where at 1PM a funeral mass will be offered.  Entombment to follow, Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in George's memory to The Wounded Warrior Project,  PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.  Please express condolences to George's family by using our Tribute Wall.
