My name is Bob Giampolo and grew up with Bernie. Lived around the block from Bernie on Montrose St. In Newark. We both loved sports and had so much fun together. Always had a smile and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He really loved his family and had a special place in his heart for his nephew Robert and NEICES Rose and Rita. I worked with Bernie at NJT for the last 5 years, he was truly one of a kind... If you knew him you loved him, people who did not know him were not sure on how to take him. I totally enjoyed my time working with him and chatting about the Yankees and Music. He will surely be missed, may he rest in peace and smile down on all who knew and loved him.
