Obituary of Jerry A. De Maio
De Maio, Jerry A., 87, of West New York, died on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Mr. De Maio was born and raised in Jersey City before moving to West New York, where he enjoyed the beautiful view of the New York City skyline for 47 years. Jerry proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1955 – 1959. He started his own business, Alloys USA in North Bergen, which he owned and operated for many years. He was a fan of the New York Jets and enjoyed his wine, but above all else Jerry was a great family man. Jerry was predeceased by his wife, Alberta De Maio (nee Paris) and by his brothers and sister, Ralph, Pat, John, Anthony, and Fred De Maio and Josephine Bracco. He is survived by his brother, Vincent De Maio and by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service at Holy Name Cemetery, 823 West Side Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306 on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11 AM. Please arrive at the cemetery at 10:45 AM. Please omit flowers and instead consider a donation to St. Joseph’s Home for the Blind, 537 Pavonia Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07306 or Community Food Bank of NJ, 31 Evans Terminal Road #1, Hillside, NJ 07205.
