Obituary of Anthony D. Martelli
Martelli, Anthony D., 90, of North Arlington, died on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Mr. Martelli was born and raised in Newark and moved to Lyndhurst after marrying his wife, Roseann Martelli (nee Coccio). He was a resident of North Arlington since 1979. Anthony proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1952 - 1954, earning the rank of Sergeant and receiving the following medals and decorations; Korean Service Medal, Bronze Service Star, Combat Infantryman Badge, United Nations Service Medal, and National Defense Service Medal. He worked for J H Fischer & Son in Newark for 65 years retiring in 2013, where he was the manager for industrial hardware. Anthony was predeceased by his beloved wife in 2019, Roseann Martelli (nee Coccio) and by his sisters and brother, Louise Amil, Fannie Martelli, and Arthur Martelli. He is survived by his loving children, Linda Martelli Ardito and her husband, Nicholas Ardito, Palma Wasilenko and her husband, Gregory, and Maria Kokiadis and her husband, Robert, by his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas (Catherine), Daniel, Anthony, Rosona, Antonia, Joshua, and Justin, and by his nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 3 - 7 PM. All will gather at the funeral home on Saturday, January 14 at 8:45 AM then to Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington where a funeral mass will be offered at 9:45 AM.
