Obituary of Richard C. Abbazia

Abbazia, Richard C., 98, of North Arlington, died on Friday, March 3, 2023.  Mr. Abbazia was born in Passaic where he attended St. Nicholas School and was a lifelong resident of North Arlington.  Richard proudly served in the United States Army during World War II.  He worked as a supervisor for Givaudan Corporation in Clifton for 20 years and also worked as a real estate broker for RCA Realty, serving Lyndhurst and Rutherford.  Dick was a member of the AMVETS Post 20 of Lyndhurst.  Richard was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mildred Abbazia (nee Cappelino) in 2010, by his sons, Joseph (1979) and Richard Abbazia (2010), by his grandson, Mark Abbazia (2021), and by his brother, Raymond Abbazia.  He is survived by his loving son, John P. Abbazia and by his cherished grandson, Joseph Abbazia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 9:30 - 11 AM.  A funeral service will begin at 11 AM.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
