Obituary of Humberto Gonzalez

Gonzalez, Humberto L., 90, of Lyndhurst, died on Saturday, April 1, 2023.  Humberto was born and raised in Cuba.  After fighting in the Cuban revolution, he came to New York City in the 50's, where he began working for the Waldorf Astoria as a hotel clerk, he received his degree in engineering from SUNY and lived in the Bronx until moving to Lyndhurst, New Jersey 32 years ago, where he has lived since. He was a Mechanical Engineer for WOR TV Chanel 9, Secaucus until he retired in 2001.  Humberto also had his pilots license and enjoyed flying.  Humberto is suvived by his beloved, Margarita Velasquez of 32 years, by his sons, Edward and Humberto Gonzalez and daughter, Daniela Gonzalez, by his step-daughters, Frances and Rosemary Arroyo, by his dear grandchildren, Ioama Mora, Janet Moncada and Emily Gonzalez, Aiden, Adam, Payton Gonzalez and by 7 great grandchildren.  Humberto's cremation is private and arrangend under the direction of  Nazare Memorial Home, Inc.  Please express condolences to his family by using our tribute wall.
