Obituary of Francesco Bellina
Bellina, Francesco "Frank", 82, died on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at home, surrounded by his beloved wife and daughters. Frank was born and raised in Petralia Sottana, province of Palermo, Sicily. He lived there, met and married his love, Maria "Nardina" Gennaro, in 1970, and in 1975, they immigrated to the states and settled in Newark, where they raised their family until 1999 and have lived in Clifton since. Frank worked his entire life, back in Petralia Sottana, alongside his dad in the moving business. As soon as Frank could reach the pedals of the truck, he began to work alongside his father. He continued the family business on his own in Newark, where he was the owner/operator of Frank Bellina Moving for many years before retiring. In retirement, Frank remained active with part time work. He made friends wherever he went, even though, Italian was his primary language, he would talk to people and make friendships along the way. He loved his grandchildren, and his greatest love in life was being with his family. Frank was predeceased by his sisters, Maria Bellina and Jacqueline DiLiberti & her husband, Anthony. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Maria "Nardina" (nee Gennaro), by his devoted daughters, Anna Maria Scillia & her husband, Robert and Josephine LaVista & her husband, Anthony, by his dear grandchildren, Michael and Gianna Scillia, Nicole, Michael and Matthew LaVista, by his nephew, Charles DiLiberti & his wife, Pamela, by his grandnephews, Anthony and Daniel DiLiberti and his wife, Rachel, and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law in Sicily, Giuseppina & Pino, and their beloved families.
