As one of the social workers in the cancer center where she was treated, I had the honor and privilege of supporting Rita emotionally throughout her cancer journey. I was always so amazed at her resilient spirit and desire to do whatever had to be done to stay alive. I loved how hard she loved Rena and how when she spoke about her she would just light up.
I was also touched by how she always had the capacity to engage with the staff allowing them to feel seen. She was always expressing gratitude for the simplest things that were done for her. She exuded kindness and compassion even despite her struggles.
.
Praying for peace of heart for all those who knew her and loved her. Rest easy sweet Rita.

I had the pleasure of caring for Rita, for only a few hours, during a recent hospitalization. She was lovely, extremely kind, and left quite an impression on all of us in RTU. Very said to hear of her passing. My prayers are with her family and friends. Rita, may you rest in heavenly peace.

Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of Ritanne?
A: She was such a caring, kind and compassionate person. She showed everyone love and would make anyone feel loved and welcomed. She was the best aunt that my kids could have asked for. I will always cherish all of our memories together.

Ritanne was a beautiful person, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. She was caring and deeply committed to her family and friends. Most significantly, she was a loving, generous mother to her beloved daughter, Rina.
Rita was a multi-talented athlete, professional dancer, and model. Rita was the Goddaugher of MaryAnn Corino and they enjoyed a deeply loving, supportive, reciprocal relationship.
Rita's strength and character carried her through years of challenging medical issues.
She is now in the gentle and comforting presence of God and her beloved family members who have passed on to eternal peace and love.
On behalf of the Corino family,
Uncle Jim

Rita was the One of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Even if she was tired, she made time to talk to me when I needed a friend. When my sister was gratefully ill during Covid times, we would often be up late together, texting or talking on the phone, and she always found away to make me laugh and feel better, even though things seemed bleak. It’s amazing how she always made room in her heart for others. Rita had the most tender, incredible soul, and she was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. I will miss her friendship and our talks… Until we meet again, she will always be in my thoughts. Rest well in Paradise, Rita. You always were an angel.
