Obituary of James P. DiLascio
Dr. James DiLascio, age 81, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2024, after a short illness. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and oral surgeon who lived a life full of love, service, and joy. A proud graduate of Case Western Reserve University, Dr. DiLascio earned his degree in oral surgery with honors in 1971. Shortly after, he opened his practice in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, alongside his lifelong best friend,Jerry Devlin. Together, they built a successful practice that thrived for 41 years, serving their community with dedication and care. In his personal life, James shared an incredible 58 years with his beloved wife, Anmarie (née Pasculli), whom he often called his best friend. Married for 51 of those years, their union was a shining example of love and partnership. Together, they raised two children, JoAnn and James, whom he cherished deeply. Jim was known for his larger-than-life personality. His warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family made him the person everyone turned to in times of need. Whenever there was a question, the answer was always the same: “Ask Dad.” His family’s happiness and success were a direct reflection of the life he built for them, filled with love, guidance, and endless support. Dr. James DiLascio is survived by his loving wife, Anmarie; his daughter, JoAnn, and her husband, Anthony Sanchez; his son, James, and his wife, Katie DiLascio; and his cherished grandchildren, Remington, Madianne, Kyle, and Joey. His legacy will continue through them, as well as the countless lives he touched both personally and professionally. He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the cyptside service held at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, which will begin at 11AM.
