Scarpa, Dorothea A., (nee Ihrig), of Lyndhurst, died on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. Mrs. Scarpa was born and raised in Jersey City, lived in North Arlington for 37 years and has been a resident of Lyndhurst for the past year. She was an Executive Secretary for St. Paul RE Company, NY, NY for 14 years before retiring in 2000. She is predeceased by her husband, the late Attilio Ciappa who was a retired Jersey City Police Detective. Dorothea is survived by her beloved husband, John N. "Rocco" Scarpa, her loving children, Robert Ciappa, Richard Ciappa, Laurie Ciappa-Connors & her husband, Bernard and Jeanne Scarpa Ayala & her husband, William, by her dear grandchildren, Elyse Ciappa and William John Ayala and by her brother, William Ihrig. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Saturday April 13, 2013 at 9AM then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 10AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visiting hours Friday 2-4 & 7-9PM
