Obituary of Vincent J. Leckner

Leckner, Vincent J. 76, died on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Leckner was born in Girardville, PA, moved to Kearny where he lived for 13 years and has been a resident of Lyndhurst for the past 41 years. He was an Army veteran and served with the occupation troops in Germany during peacetime from 1954-1956. He worked as a Supervisor for Western Electric, Kearny for 31 years before he retired in 1985. Vincent is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Shirley (nee Davis), his loving children, Mark Leckner, Valerie Costa and her husband, Robert, Paul Leckner and his wife, Tess, and Sharon Serviss and her husband, James, his six dear grandchildren, Amanda, Salvatore, Elizabeth, Mary, Peter and Anna, and his sisters, Marion Teresavage, and Evelyn Leckner. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Friday October 29, 2010 at 8AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 9AM a Funeral Mass will be offered. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visiting Thursday 4-8PM.
