Joseph Tirrell posted a condolence
Monday, October 31, 2022
I am sorry to hear of Joe's Last Illness, May God rest his spirited, red freckled face in everlasting glory along with our fellow Marines. We moved away after St Charles and distance and obligations separated us. George O'Rourke, another fellow Marine and classmate, told me after the war that Joe was a Marine. Sitting on the hills in Korea I often thought of Joe and fellow classmates, wondering their fate in the war. Now over 90 I often reflect on our travels as kids, hopping the railcars of the Lehigh Valley and go for a ride that always meant a long run home. Father George Byrne had us on his track team and from that I learned along with Joe, the Great Spirit of Competition.
Semper Fidelis Joe, If I recall anything about you, I would bet you lived the Ethos of the Marine Corps, all of your life.
