Obituary of Dennis J. Dembowski
Dembowski, Dennis J., 74, of Lyndhurst, died on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Dembowski was born in Hoboken, raised in Jersey City, and was a resident of Lyndhurst since 1999. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1968 - 1970 during the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient. Dennis worked as a machinist for Colgate in Jersey City for 20 years and then for Maxwell House in Hoboken for 10 years, retiring in 1997. He loved his family, food, wine, and Sunday dinners, when he would often make "a mean spaghetti and meatballs." He also loved baseball and football, and he was the first winner of the Annual Dembowski Family Fantasy Football League.
Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Patricia M. Dembowski (nee Stefano), by their loving children, Christina Bancroft and her husband, Andrew, Jason Dembowski and his wife, Kathy, and Dennis Dembowski and his wife, Marie, by his cherished grandchildren, John Michael Dembowski, Jason Dembowski, Mackenzie Bancroft, Zachary Dembowski, Skyler Bancroft, Courtney Dembowski, Brigida Dembowski, Anya Dembowski, Drew Bancroft, Caliana Dembowski, and Alexis Dembowski, by his dear brothers and sister, Jake Dembowski, Stanley Dembowski, and Alice Hennigar, and by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 3 - 7 PM. A funeral service will begin at 6:30 PM. Private Cremation.
